Paula Patton has a distinguished career as an actor also a producer, director and actor. Her most prominent work is for her starring part as a character in Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Her early years were spent at Los Angeles where she came from a middle-class family. Her mom was a film buff and instilled a passion for film in her young daughter as well. Paula was involved in the co-curricular activities of her school and was particularly drawn to drama. She loved being in stage shows with her friends. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School gave her many opportunities to act throughout her schooling and she chose acting as a career. She attended an acting program at the University of Southern California for the Summer Program, and she loved the experience. She was given a three month assignment to make documentaries for PBS. Her first job was as production assistant for television documentaries after successfully completing her task. Then, she switched to the production of documentaries. While she was awed by the work she was doing, she yearned for acting roles. The path to acting began when she had a minor role alongside Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since, she's played in numerous popular films and TV shows.
